Family Paddleboarding Ocean Adventure

Fun for the whole family!

This small group family activity focuses on paddleboarding and ocean literacy. We’ll be searching for sea stars, otters, and giant moon snails with a marine biologist, then stopping for a picnic lunch (bring your own) on the beach. Suitable for ages 8 and up.

May see: Otters, eagles, sea stars, jellyfish, crabs, seals and other fascinating marine life.

​

BRING: A lunch and picnic blanket, water, sunscreen, hat, suitable paddling attire, water shoes.

​

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • Certified SUP guide

  • All gear - PFD's, boards, paddles and safety gear

  • Marine biologist led interpretive paddle through Tod Inlet.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

  • Travel to and from the tour start/end locations (participants must arrange their own pickup and drop off as we are not providing shared driving arrangements at this time)

  • Travel Insurance

  • Lunch - please bring lunch & a picnic blanket

  • Personal clothing, gear & safety equipment (choose our rental option and we'll have a board, paddle, coiled leash, and throw bag with tow line ready for you!)

  • Optional donation to our Girls On Boards program 

  • 5% GST 

Is this Paddle Right for You?

This is a beginner, family-friendly paddle.

 

  • Must be comfortable around water and ideally able to swim

  • This is a close-to-shore, shallow water paddle so we can search for sea stars, crabs and other marine life.

Logistics

​

We start at:

  • 10:00 am meeting at Pacifica Paddle Sports: Brentwood Bay in the Portside Marina 789 Saunders Lane, Brentwood Bay, BC V8M 1C5

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before, earlier if you need to collect your rental gear from Pacifica Paddle Sports or to inflate boards.

We end at: 

  • 1:00 pm taking out at Pacifica Paddle Sports: Brentwood Bay

 

The paddle location/route/distance may change if weather conditions require it. You will be emailed or called 24 hours prior if this happens.
